Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this CURT 5th Wheel and Gooseneck custom wiring harness. This is gonna provide a 4-way and a 7-way blade style connector in your truck bed so that you can very easily hook up your 5th wheel and gooseneck trailer and not have to worry about the hassle of trying to reach down to the connection point that's down by your bumper. And this is going to mount in your truck bed sidewall tailgate post or wheel well and it is going to be a custom fit for your 2019 and newer GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2500, and 3500 with a factory 7-way. So this will plug right into your factory wiring. You're not gonna have to do any cutting or splicing into the wiring.
Basically, you'll just take your connector off. It's going to expose this kind of connection here that's currently on your vehicle. You'll then plug that portion into this and then reconnect your plug here. So that's going to re-complete that circuit. So your bumper mounted 7-way is still going to be working just fine, just like it originally did.
And then that's also going to then send your signal up to your truck bed. This is seven feet long and it is going to reach up to the truck bed so that you can more easily connect your 5th wheel and gooseneck. Make sure that you've got all the wiring that you need there. They do include instructions for you to get this installed. They walk you through that installation process even though it's very simple and they give you all the pictures that you need as well as some zip ties and to hold your wiring even place where you need it.
So very easy way to kind of extend your wiring harness or your wiring connector up into your truck bed so that you'll have much easier time hooking up when it's time to tow. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Solid harness but it’s sold as a direct fit for my truck and the way the harness is routed does not allow it to work on my truck. The connection to the outlet routes directly into the steel frame support of the box of my truck.

Super easy to install. The hardest part was pulling the old plug from the harness to the bumper connector. Although the instructions said to feed the bed connector from the bottom it was easier to feed the bed connectors (even though there were two) into the upper bed slot and then under the bed.

Product is prob good. Haven't installed it. I wish there was a template to cut out of the box or a piece of paper. I'm going to have to attack the inside of my bed with a multi tool.

Easy to install, minor difficulty with the factory installed bed liner coating (we had to grind it away around the install hole in the bed side).
I ordered the Curt gooseneck truck bed receptacle and harness. Shipping was reasonable prompt. The price was reasonable since the harness was made to plug and play with my truck. Installation took me a while, since I had never installed a harness before. It was really pretty simple once I figured out the connector plug locks. etrailer also has good videos which helped a lot. It would be nice if they had a detailed video on how to release the connector locks. The box that came contained the harness and allmaterials needed to complete the installation.
